NameChat

NameChat User Guide

NameChat helps you go from a vague idea ("AI tool for dentists") to a short list of brandable names you can actually buy.

1) Start with a great prompt

The best results come from being specific. Include your niche, the vibe, and any constraints.

Example prompt
“I’m building a modern fitness coaching app for busy professionals. I want a short name (5–8 letters), friendly, not too techy, and I’d love to get a .com if possible.”
  • Share your audience: creators, startups, agencies, real estate, fitness, finance, etc.
  • Share style: playful vs serious, premium vs casual, futuristic vs classic.
  • Share constraints: length, avoid certain words, must be easy to spell, etc.

2) Review names + domain status

NameChat shows names along with domain checks. If a domain is available for a normal registration price, you’ll see it as a standard available option.

  • If you only want .com, switch to the “.com only” view.
  • If you’re open to alternatives, enable “Include .io/.co”.
  • If nothing is buyable, you’ll get “hand-register” fallback ideas biased toward your niche.

3) Save your favorites

When you see a strong contender, favorite it. This helps you compare later and keeps your short list tight.

Tip: don’t favorite 50 names. Favorite 5–10, then ask NameChat to refine around the top 2–3.

4) Buy a domain (when it’s available)

For domains that are available to register, NameChat will send you through the Dynadot affiliate link to complete the purchase.

  • Click the domain you want.
  • Confirm it’s the exact spelling you want.
  • Register it before you share it publicly.

5) A simple workflow that works

  1. Generate 20–40 ideas.
  2. Favorite 5–10.
  3. Ask for variations on your top 2–3 (different vibe, more premium, more playful, shorter, etc.).
  4. Pick 1–2 finalists and check domain options.
  5. Register the best available domain.
